Equinoctial Year 2010
The Year That Was
First Decade of the 21st Century
Dear Sir:
Greetings!
I am truly grateful for the 365 1/4 days you had provided me with, indeed so much time for me to accomplish things that needed to be done and start those that maybe I won't be able to finish posthaste within this period of time but hopefully I still would someday with Thy help.
These things, I know, were presented to me to better myself. You made them appear before me in many different forms: responsibilities, challenges, problems, opportunities, goals, and even pipe dreams. I flubbed some of them, but gained traction with some. But most of all, the time you had given me helped a lot in healing wounds and distinguishing fears, things that I rather chose to nurse than to curse until recently.
It is with great regret, however, that I now formally leave you literally and figuratively. As I usher in the new year 2011, I promise to bring along the lessons you taught me, the triumphs we achieved together, the treasure trove of memories, and the renewed enthusiasm and courage you held out to me. You and the many other ones before you have been a huge part of who I am today and who I will become tomorrow.
Three cheers for 2010! Hurrah 2011!
Yours faithfully,
Me
